Clearing the Weeds!

Clearing the Weeds! How should we do this? Pull the weeds?, Dig them up and turn over the soil?, Rototill them into the soil? We chose to cut the mallow plants off at the ground. This leaves the mallow tap root and verticle channels in the soil that will help with water absorption. We are using a “No Till” approach to planting, where we will only till the soil where we are planting either seeds or transplants. This limits the amount of weed seeds available for germination to the current soil surface. We expect that this will limit the amount of hand weeding needed. Basically we are lazy!!
